Firefighters hone life-saving skills

The simulated house provides a variety of fire hazards, enabling the firefighters to practice and hone their live-saving skills for different situations. The difference between the upstairs and downstairs training is the way the firefighters make entry. The technique to fight the fire is the same, but they use a ladder to gain access to the upper level. While one crew attacks the fire downstairs, another crew ladders the facility, locates the fire and attacks it on the second level. Everything on scene is relayed to the incident commander, and the incident safety officer continuously observes the scene and firefighter actions, ensuring overall safety on scene.
