The Wool Hall in Lavenham, Suffolk, is one of many half-timbered buildings in the town and is a tribute to the source of the English wool trade. During the Middle Ages, Lavenham was well known in the wool trade, and prosperous wool merchants are responsible for most of the town's memorable buildings. The picturesque town is quintessentially English. Cafes, antique shops, small boutiques and those selling fresh, local produce are all located along the High Street. Lavenham – Stepping back in time with crooked houses, cream teas
