Team Mildenhall maintainers keep tankers flying

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Cody Evans, 100th Maintenance Squadron aerospace propulsion journeyman from Crosby, Texas, monitors the amount of weight on a rigging system while lowering the engine of a KC-135 Stratotanker Jan. 24, 2014, on RAF Mildenhall, England. Raising and lowering aircraft engines is one of the most dangerous jobs a maintainer can perform on an aircraft. Maintenance Airmen must move slowly and in unison to prevent hazards while raising or lowering engines, in addition to abiding by other necessary precautions, to ensure their safety and the integrity of the aircraft.
