Retired 727th AMS member receives award

RAF Sqn. Ldr. Rick Fryer, right, RAF Mildenhall station commander, presents the Imperial Service Medal to Colin Grubb Jan. 21, 2014, on RAF Mildenhall, England. Grubb worked at the 727th Air Mobility Squadron on RAF Mildenhall for 39 years with an impeccable record. During his tenure, Grubb saw the reorganization of the squadron four times, the height and end of the Cold War, integration of Eastern Europe into NATO, the development of the European Union and RAF Mildenhall’s support to Operation Desert Storm, peacekeeping operations in Bosnia and Macedonia, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as numerous humanitarian and global crisis support operations.
