Thanksgiving service at Ely Cathedral
U.S. Air Force Col. Mark Ciero, 48th Fighter Wing vice commander, speaks at a service on the eve of Thanksgiving Nov. 27, 2013, at Ely Cathedral. The 27th annual Thanksgiving service gave U.S. service members in England an opportunity to enjoy a holiday service at one of the cathedrals in the local area. The service began in 1986 when a group of British parishioners, recognizing the importance of the holiday to Americans, opened the doors of Ely Cathedral in order for the U.S. service members and their families to worship and give thanks for God’s blessings.
