100th CES Airmen help families, ensure memories live on

The RAF Mildenhall Airmen were taking GPS readings to annotate the exact location of each individual headstone. This equipment served as a base station which collects data from 24 GPS satellites in orbit. All the data from the project will be made into an electronic map that allows families and friends of those Americans lost in World War II to pinpoint the location of their resting place.
