Face to face with history — Team Mildenhall remembers fallen Airmen
The Right Honorable Eric Pickles, Member of Parliament, thanks everyone who attended the remembrance service Sept. 28, 2013, at the Church of All Saints, East Horndon, England, of the Sept. 26, 1943, mid-air collision of two B-17 Flying Fortresses — Dorsal Queen and Raunchy Wolf. The collision killed 19 Americans who were returning to England following a bombing mission during World War II. Pickles, along with several others, laid a wreath near the front of the church to honor the deceased on its 70th anniversary. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Preston Webb/Released)
