F-15 fighter jets prepare to bed down at RAF Mildenhall

The first wave of RAF Lakenheath-based F-15s line up on a hardstand Sept. 13, 2013, after flying into RAF Mildenhall, England. Approximately 10 F-15s are being temporarily housed here while runway repairs are completed at their home station. The normal quiet hours for RAF Mildenhall will apply to the F-15 aircraft, which means unless waivers are granted for specific occasions, there will be no F-15s flying weeknights between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m., and no flying during weekends between 6 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday.
