Fighter jets from RAF Lakenheath taxi towards their parking spots Sept. 13, 2013, as the first wave of jets fly into RAF Mildenhall, England. Approximately 10 F-15s are being temporarily housed here while runway repairs are completed at their home station. The normal quiet hours for RAF Mildenhall will apply to the F-15 aircraft, which means unless waivers are granted for specific occasions, there will be no F-15s flying weeknights between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m., and no flying during weekends between 6 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday. Fighter jets from RAF Lakenheath taxi towards their parking spots Sept. 13, 2013, as the first wave of jets fly into RAF Mildenhall, England. The latest addition to the 100th Air Refueling Wing’s fleet of KC-135 Stratotankers stands in the hangar Oct. 21, 2015, on RAF Mildenhall, England. The “Square D” decal, together with RAF Mildenhall’s station patch and heritage emblem – showing nine stars designed to acknowledge and represent the original nine KC-135s stationed at RAF Mildenhall from May to September 1992 – was placed on the tail of a tanker reassigned from McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., to the 100th Air Refueling Wing’s fleet.
