100th CES ensures readiness of emergency equipment

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Jose Vargas, 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Electrical Power Production journeyman from El Paso, Texas, bleeds the brakes on a barrier-arresting kit near the runway Aug. 13, 2013, on RAF Mildenhall, England. The shop maintains two barrier-arresting kits. The barrier is checked daily and can only be used once (before needing to be reset for multiple uses) in the case of an emergency aircraft landing.
