Lifeline to refuelers: 100th LRS proves NKAWTG

A squeegee is used to manually remove excess fuel from hoses which transfer fuel from one aircraft to another. Once the entire hose has been squeegeed, it can be rolled up and stored on the aircraft providing the fuel. This procedure is performed manually, usually in the dark using night-vision goggles. Airmen from the 100th Logistics Readiness Squadron forward-area refueling point team go into hostile environments where aircraft need fuel but don’t have traditional refueling capabilities.
