First responders host 9/11 retreat ceremony
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Anthony Thlang, 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department firefighter from Seattle, rings the “Last Shift Bell” during a 9/11 memorial retreat ceremony Sept. 11, 2014, on RAF Mildenhall, England. Originally, the bell was used to signify the end of a shift, but during this ceremony Airmen rang the bell to pay tribute to the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
