100th MSG kicks off new job shadow program
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Corey Love, left, 100th Security Forces Squadron response force leader from Waldorf, Md., and U.S. Air Force Col. David Avila, center, 100th Mission Support Group commander, discuss post office procedures with U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Jeffrey Vanrees, 100th Communications Squadron postal clerk from Minot, N.D., as they spend time behind the parcel pick-up desk at the post office April 14, 2015, on RAF Mildenhall, England. Love spent the day with Avila as part of a job shadow event. The day included attending meetings, visiting 100th MSG workcenters and seeing what other Airmen do on a day-to-day basis. The new 100th MSG job shadow program allows Airmen from a squadron within the 100th MSG to spend a day with the commander. It provides an opportunity for Airmen to gain a greater perspective of the 100th MSG mission and show them how their role ties in with the mission of the group, the 100th Air Refueling Wing and U.S. Air Forces in Europe.
