Military, local community asked to respect Suffolk airfield

On their first mission alone, the 100th Bomb Group lost three planes and thirty men. Though they didn’t have the highest overall loss rate, the group experienced heavy losses during several of its missions, including one to Berlin March 6, 1944, when 15 aircraft were lost.
