Air National Guard brings mission to RAF Mildenhall
U.S. Air National Guard members from the 106th Maintenance Squadron, 117th Air Refueling Wing, Birmingham, Ala., perform an aircraft inspection on a transient KC-135 Stratotanker from their unit as it starts up Aug. 17, 2016, on RAF Mildenhall, England. As hot air mixed with colder ambient air it created steam which then billowed out, and was emphasized by the open cowlings on the engine. The ANG unit was TDY to RAF Mildenhall as part of annual mission requirements. (U.S. Air Force photo by Karen Abeyasekere)
