35th Joan Mann Sports Day brings hundreds together

Athletes at the 35th Annual Joan Mann Special Sports Day receive gold, silver, and bronze medals Sept. 24, 2016, on RAF Mildenhall, England. Joan Mann was a Ministry of Defence employee at RAF Mildenhall. She developed the special sports day as a way to offer people of all ages with special needs a day of fun and a way to bring the civilian and military communities closer.
