‘Not disabilities but different abilities’
Aliya Sokora, 3, daughter of U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Brandon Sokora, 100th Civil Engineer Squadron commander, plays on her specially-adapted bicycle Oct. 19, 2016, in a playground on RAF Mildenhall, England. Aliya was born a congenital amputee, without her left lower arm. October is National Disability Employment Awareness month and the 100th CES commander shared his family’s story at a lunch celebrating the many varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities.
