100 ARW/CC experiences other side of the boom
U.S. Air Force F-15D Eagles assigned to the 48th Fighter Wing from RAF Lakenheath, England, fly in formation off of the wing of a KC-135 Stratotanker assigned to the 349th Air Mobility Wing from Beale Air Force Base, Calif., Dec. 2, 2016, over the Atlantic Ocean. The Eagle can be armed with combinations of different air-to-air weapons: AIM-120 advanced medium range air-to-air missiles on its lower fuselage corners, AIM-9L/M Sidewinder or AIM-120 missiles on two pylons under the wings, and an internal 20mm Gatling gun in the right wing root.
