100th Bomb Group veterans visit RAF Mildenhall, former World War II bases

Staff Sgt. (retired) Joe Urice, 100th Bombardment Group (Heavy) veteran and former B-17 tailgunner, signs his name on the “Heroes Wall of Fame” May 10, 2017, at Parham Airfield Museum, England. The museum is one of many around East Anglia dedicated to the men who served during World War II. Veterans of the 100th BG and their families, along with Team Mildenhall members, spent the day visiting former East Anglian bases in Horham, Parham and Thorpe Abbots. The 100th BGF members also visited RAF Mildenhall, Madingley American Cemetery and Duxford War Museum during their trip to celebrate the 100th BG’s 75th anniversary.
