KC-135, tail 7999 – aka ‘Wolff Pack’ – retires from RAF Mildenhall after 59 years dedicated service

Leadership from the 100th Air Refueling Wing, 100th Maintenance Group and 100th Operations Group, along with guests from the 100th Bomb Group Memorial Museum, Thorpe Abbotts, and RAF Sculthorpe Museum, have a final group photo with aircraft 7999, a KC-135 Stratotanker, after its official retirement ceremony Nov. 23, 2022, at Royal Air Force Mildenhall, England. This was the first official retirement of a KC-135 at RAF Mildenhall, and the legacy “Wolff Pack” nose art will remain at RAF Mildenhall and be transferred to another aircraft.
