Families of 100th BG veterans join 100th ARW for ‘Squawkin Hawk’ nose art dedication on KC-135
One of the two newest additions to the 100th Air Refueling Wing’s KC-135 Stratotankers bearing its heritage nose art, “Squawkin Hawk,” is displayed for all to see after being unveiled during a nose art dedication ceremony at Royal Air Force Mildenhall, England, Oct. 10, 2023. Family members of two of the original crew members from the World War II B-17 Flying Fortress of the same name, attended the ceremony and shared memories and stories about their 100th Bomb Group connections.
