A Royal Air Force Hawk T1 aircraft from the RAF Aerobatic Team – the Red Arrows – sits in front of the air traffic control tower ready to be refueled after performing an aerial demonstration at RAF Mildenhall, England, Oct. 5, 2024. RAF Mildenhall is marking a milestone this year – the 90th anniversary of its opening in 1934. Throughout the year, the installation has hosted a series of events and initiatives that showcase the rich history of the base and its impact on the local community. Events ranged from historical exhibitions and aircraft displays to community engagement activities, celebrating the past, present, and future of RAF Mildenhall.
