100th ARW legacy comes full circle as WWII veteran, Capt. Bob Wolff, returns ‘home’ to Thorpe Abbotts

U.S. Air Force leadership and Airmen from the 100th Air Refueling Wing show a KC-135 Stratotanker bearing the “Wolff Pack” nose art to family members of U.S. Army Air Corps Capt. Robert “Bob” Wolff, World War II and 100th Bomb Group veteran, at RAF Mildenhall, England, April 16, 2025. Wolff was a B-17 Flying Fortress pilot. He and his crew were nicknamed the “Wolff Pack,” as was their aircraft they flew several missions in. The KC-135 is one of the 100th ARW’s fleet of aircraft bearing legacy nose art.
