100th ARW legacy comes full circle as WWII veteran, Capt. Bob Wolff, returns ‘home’ to Thorpe Abbotts
Randy Wolff, left, and Jeffrey Paul Wolff, center, both grandsons of World War II and 100th Bomb Group veteran Capt. Robert “Bob” Wolff, and Austin Wolff, son of Randy and great-grandson of Bob, take an emotional look at the “Wolff Pack” nose art adorning a KC-135 Stratotanker during a visit to RAF Mildenhall, England, April 16, 2025. The nose art is one of the 100th Air Refueling Wing’s fleet of legacy nose art and honors Capt. Wolff and his crew. The family visited from California and North Carolina and brought some of the veteran’s ashes to lay to rest in the chapel at Thorpe Abbotts. (U.S. Air Force photo by Karen Abeyasekere)
