A U.S. Navy P8 Poseidon descends from a U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker from the 100th Air Refueling Wing after receiving fuel as part of the 100th ARW’s combat readiness exercise Skyway Chariot over the North Sea, May 10, 2025. The inspection was intended to validate the 100th ARW’s ability to generate, employ, sustain, and project combat power in a highly contested environment. By operating out Prestwick, Scotland, Airmen practiced Agile Combat Employment concepts, decentralizing forces to increase survivability, generate more military options for combined/joint force commanders, and create unpredictability to an adversary’s strategic decision making.
