Recovery, resiliency: From rock bottom to top of the world
U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Timka Peltonen, 488th Intelligence Squadron, takes time out for a photo with Tyttö, his Australian Shepherd/lab-cross, in Lakenheath, England, Oct. 9, 2025. After a lot of hard work and self-referring with the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment program three times between 2016 to 2019, Peltonen now has a bright future and a positive attitude. Tyttö has been with him throughout his struggles over the years and is the rescue dog who rescued him in return. Peltonen was recently selected for the Air Force’s Warrant Officer Training School.
