Beyond the runway: 37 AS tests C-130J versatility in Iceland during NV26

A U.S. Air Force C-130J Super Hercules aircraft assigned to the 37th Airlift Squadron arrives for exercise Northern Viking 26 at Keflavík Air Base, Iceland, Aug. 21, 2026. Northern Viking 26 strengthens the ability of U.S. and NATO Allied forces to operate together, maintaining readiness to respond to contingencies in the North Atlantic and High North. NV 26 integrates U.S. forces and NATO Allies across air, land and maritime domains to strengthen readiness, interoperability and command and control in support of the collective defense of Iceland and the North Atlantic.
