Memorial Service at American Military Cemetery Published May 25, 2010 By 020510 RAF MILDENHALL, Suffolk -- The U.S. Embassy in London, Third Air Force and RAF Mildenhall holds the annual Cambridge-American Military Cemetery Memorial Service May 31 at 11 a.m. in Cambridge. The event honors the memory of the American World War II service members who gave their life to achieve victory in Europe against the Axis powers. More than 1,000 people are expected to attend the event. Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire, Hugh Duberly, is scheduled to represent the U.K., while U.S. Defense Attaché in London, Rear Adm. Ronald Henderson, is slated to represent America. Both gentlemen will speak at the ceremony.
