The 100th Air Refueling Wing successfully completed its Unit Effectiveness Inspection here on Feb. 8 with a score of “Highly Effective”.

The U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa Inspector General team visited RAF Mildenhall Feb. 4 to 8, and evaluated the 100th ARW in four major areas: managing resources, leading people, improving the unit, and executing the mission. Installations are graded on a four-tier scale: highly effective, effective, marginally effective and ineffective.

“The wing has achieved its third consecutive “Highly Effective” grade,” said Captain Joseph Brzozowske, 100th ARW chief of readiness inspection. “We have also slashed our deficiencies by over 90 percent from the previous inspection while also removing over 200 antiquated MICT checklists. The results of the wing are indicative of transparent wing readiness and mission accomplishment.”

As part of the UEI capstone event, inspectors conducted Airmen-to-IG group and individual sessions with Airmen and civilians.

Base-wide inspections, such as these conducted this week, are essential functions of command. They evaluate the efficiency, readiness, discipline and resource management of units to ensure the focus is on mission readiness, as well as building a culture of disciplined compliance in how work is performed.

“This achievement is yet another in a series of testaments that demonstrates your outstanding abilities and commitment to mission success,” said Col. Christopher R. Amrhein, 100th Air Refueling Wing commander.
