Post office holiday hours and information announced

The post office here announced information pertaining to holiday package mailing and parcel pick up. But for those engaging in the last minute shopping craze, there's still a little time to get those gifts to loved ones.

Outbound mailing (financial services) will be open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30p.m. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, and closed Sundays.

Parcel pick up window is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays from now through Dec. 23. They will be open on Christmas Eve from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Normal hours of operation will resume Dec. 28.

To ensure packages arrive before Christmas, the deadlines are as follows:
- First Class/Priority mail - Dec. 10
- Express mail- Dec. 17

The post office will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
