Brothers’ military service forged by tragedy – a 9/11 story
Then-Pvt. Arthur Fudge poses for a photo in his barracks during Basic Military Training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C. Fudge served as a tank mechanic and attained the rank of lance corporal, prior to separating. He now attends college and studies law enforcement. Fudge watched live coverage of a plane hitting the World Trade Center’s south tower, Sept. 11, 2001. His father worked on the 50th floor of that building, but survived. Fudge joined the Marines as a result of that day. (Courtesy photo)
