  • Texas Air National Guardsmen train at RAF Mildenhall

    Members of the 136th Airlift Wing, Texas Air National Guard, conducted annual vehicle maintenance training with the 100th Logistics Readiness Squadron at RAF Mildenhall July 20 – Aug. 2, 2019. Five guardsmen from different units across Dallas/Fort Worth came to RAF Mildenhall to train on special purpose equipment and upgrade their skill level throughout all of the 100 LRS vehicle maintenance shops.
  • 100th AMXS, 100th MXS test innovative in-ear headset

    An innovative in-ear headset is being tested by the 100th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and 100th Maintenance Squadron at RAF Mildenhall, England. The device, which uses the bones in the user’s ear to transmit sound waves, provides both communication and hearing preservation capabilities to Airmen working in noisy environments.

  • Bolt inspection tool wins Team Mildenhall innovation award

    Tech. Sgt. Steven Izaguirre, 100th Maintenance Squadron NCO-in-charge of the Non-Destructive Inspections Section, won the Team Mildenhall Innovation of the Quarter Award for the first quarter of 2019. As part of the NDI team, Izaguirre and his Airmen inspect aircraft parts to ensure they are anatomically sound, free of cracks and defects.
  • Secretary Wilson returns to RAF Mildenhall, discusses innovation, strategy

    When then second lieutenant Heather Wilson joined the Air Force in 1985, her very first assignment was to the 3rd Air Force at RAF Mildenhall. Now, as the Secretary of the Air Force, Wilson returned to RAF Mildenhall July 12 to learn about the new innovations the Airmen here have since created and to speak about the National Defense Strategy. “It’s been 30 years since I’ve been at RAF Mildenhall, and seeing how much it has changed, I can see that driving innovation is still one our top priorities,” Wilson said.

  • RAF Mildenhall saving lives one oxygen mask at a time

    When an in-flight emergency happens, the last thing anyone wants to question is the condition of an oxygen mask, which could be the barrier between life and death. The 100th Operations Support Squadron aircrew flight equipment shop makes it their goal for that question never to be asked. The AFE shop is the insurance of the aircrew and keeps everything prepared just in case of an emergency.
