• IDRC supports deploying Team Mildenhall Airmen

    The 100th Logistics Readiness Squadron installation deployment readiness cell(IDRC) at RAF Mildenhall, England, coordinates the deployment process that enables Airmen to successfully execute the mission downrange. The IDRC is responsible for supervising the deployment process of all base entities, as well as certain geographically separated units.

    Ever since a book his father gave him sparked his interest in WWII, Robert Paley, 100th Air Refueling Wing historian, was set on the path to where he is today — living his “dream job” as an historian. Forty-four years later, Paley accomplished two major goals - graduating from U.S. Military Academy West Point and publishing a book about his dad. After that, he was hired as the 100th ARW historian in Jan. 2019, a year after retiring from the Army.
  • Traffic management office helps drive Mildenhall mission

    The 100th Logistics Readiness Squadron Traffic Management Office at RAF Mildenhall, England, is responsible for receiving and shipping out equipment and personnel necessary for the completion of the mission. The inbound and outbound cargo section of the traffic management office handles all incoming and outgoing shipments to base, including aircraft parts and other mission-essential assets.
  • 100th ARW supports 95 RS

    The 100th Air Refueling Wing refueled an RC-135 Rivet Joint assigned to the 95th Reconnaissance Squadron Feb. 26, 2020. The Bloody Hundredth is the only permanent U.S. air refueling wing in the European theater, providing the critical air refueling "bridge" which allows the Expeditionary Air Force to deploy around the globe at a moment's notice.
  • RAF Mildenhall hosts AIRCOM Volleyball Championships

    Male and female volleyball teams representing the air forces of six nations took part in NATO’s 2020 Allied Air Command Inter-Nation Volleyball Championships here Feb. 17-21. This was the first time the base had the opportunity to host this volleyball tournament, which featured athletes representing the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland, Belgium and the Netherlands.
  • Secretary Barrett visits Team Mildenhall

    Secretary of the Air Force Barbara Barrett met with Team Mildenhall Airmen and families and toured the installation for the first time Feb. 13, 2020, at RAF Mildenhall, England. The 25th Secretary of the Air Force visited the air traffic control tower, fire station and various units within the 352 Special Operations Wing. Barrett spoke to members of RAF Mildenhall about Team Mildenhall’s mission, Air Force modernization and listened to their innovative ideas on how to improve the base.
  • 100th MXS Airman innovates leak detection technology

    A 100th Maintenance Squadron Airman at RAF Mildenhall, England, has designed a device that decreases the time needed to detect leaks within aircraft fuel tanks. Staff Sgt. Patrick Leach, 100th MXS aircraft fuels systems craftsman, created the Pressurized Leak Detection Cup with the help of the aircraft structural maintenance flight.
  • Bloody Hundredth Airmen test base readiness

    The 100th Air Refueling Wing held a readiness exercise Feb. 10-12 that tested agility and measured responses throughout the wing. The main purpose of the exercise was to demonstrate how rapidly 100th ARW Airmen are able to organize an entire wing when faced with possible real-world scenarios.

    Team Mildenhall Airmen from the 100th Security Forces Squadron military working dog unit and Ministry of Defence policemen volunteered at a police cadets open day in Mildenhall, England, Feb. 8, 2020. During the event, the 100th SFS military working dog handlers performed a demonstration of their capabilities, and answered questions from children interested in joining the cadets.
