    As one of the best-attended outreach events since COVID-19 restrictions began last year, the Royal Air Force Mildenhall Pollywiggles Playgroup provided a much needed opportunity to socially connect with members of the Tri-Base community. The playgroup, designed to increase readiness and resilience, provides children and their families a weekly opportunity for inclusive play and a safe space for caregivers to share ideas and experiences.

The helping agency is still offering programs and services to the base, including the Transition Assistance Program, the Air Force Aid Society, military family life counseling, and financial readiness education.

Two of RAF Mildenhall’s squadron commanders show how they do it and act as a guiding light for those who think it’s impossible. Leading a squadron of 100 to 550 people at a time can create a collision of priorities; the question is not when will they collide, but how do these leaders surpass the collision?
