2009 Annual Award winners

RAF MILDENHALL, England -- Staff Sgt. Michael Lauria, 321st Special Tactics Squadron, is the Team Mildenhall 2009 Airman of the Year. His achievements over the past year include flying on 34 missions with a joint task force and assisting in the capture of 30 high-value terrorists. He also rushed to a crashed helicopter to help move five Army crewmembers to safety. He also taught first aid skills to a local Boy Scouts of America troop. He is presented this award by retired Gen. His volunteer efforts include volunteering more than 225 hours with various events such as Joan Mann Special Sports Day, the 100th SFS Christmas party, the RAF Mildenhall 75th Anniversary Air Show and reading to children at the Child Development Center. RAF MILDENHALL, England -- Fabiola Flores, 100th Comptroller Squadron budget analyst, is the 100th Air Refueling Wing 2009 Civilian Category I of the Year. Her accomplishments include closing out $68 million in tenant budgets with zero errors and providing budget support to the 352nd Special Operations Group. RAF MILDENHALL, England -- Capt. Meera Noe, 100th Communications Squadron, is the 100th Air Refueling Wing 2009 Company Grade Officer of the Year. Her accomplishments include aiding in a Russian helicopter crash response and planning a memorial service for 16 civilians. Her volunteer efforts include serving as a committee member for Ride for Life to organize 60 volunteers and raise more than $24,000 for United Kingdom child's hospice.
